One thing I did was attach it with a 1/4" so that the underside clears the binding completely and then I use matching thread for top and bottom. Great that you have it a go, the quilt is so cute.CapitolaQuilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03797600075921870727noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722669456248196153.post-3841643396637222112013-04-12T17:52:11.084-07:002013-04-12T17:52:11.084-07:00great baby quilts! I tried a similar method to yours and wasn't that happy with the sloppy results. Mine ended up a little sloppy on one side as well. Though that could be due to lack of skills rather than the technique... :) Darciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07042146162065193774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722669456248196153.post-14289528925434580822013-04-10T14:25:12.900-07:002013-04-10T14:25:12.900-07:00Ha ha, some quilts need to move on...I machine bin...Ha ha, some quilts need to move on...I machine bind only and have improved so much since the beginning.✾Jamie Lee Cooley✾https://www.blogger.com/profile/07208832897656210176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4722669456248196153.post-48089281315649786612013-04-10T14:23:49.321-07:002013-04-10T14:23:49.321-07:00Looking forward to hearing about the quilt that al...Looking forward to hearing about the quilt that almost broke you... must be quite a story!Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12858005305717774606noreply@blogger.com
