october goals.

Are you participating in the 100 Day Hustle over at Kelsey Sews? I am, so I wrote up a basic list for the next few months. I also made a handwritten version and and hung it above my sewing machine--no pressure!

And can you believe it's October? Eek! I didn't get as much done last month as I'd like, but considering I took up a massive bookkeeping project near the end of the month, I'm pretty happy with what I did get done. I finished a quilt and took part in the Sequintastic September blog hop...

1. Black and Batiks Quilt 2. Sequintastic September Blog Hop Project
...and I also finished up a bunch of individual blocks (2 for AVMF BOF, 1 for ICO BOM, and 2 for my Marie quilt) and another business card holder.

I think I'll name her Sasha.
I'm really quite excited because my sweet sweet husband allowed me to pick out my birthday gift, and it arrived about a week ago, much to my delight. Yes, Friends. This little machine means I'm no longer winding my bobbins by hand. (And it's pink!)

October's goals, as usual, contain some leftovers from September.
  • Tote--have pattern picked out; fabric arrived
  • Finish wonky star table runner--need to finish binding
  • 100 Quilts for Kids quilt--need to finish binding
  • Finish Marie blocks--14 of 20 done
  • Andrea Mini--need to finish handquilting and binding [Ray of Hope block--template here]
  • October block for HST BOM
  • Blocks for A Very Merry HST BOF
  • Triangle mini quilt--need to finish cutting fabric
  • Drawstring bags
  • Start work on holiday and birthday gifts
Those are the plans for October! What are you up to?

I'm linking up to Lily's  Quilts Small Blog Meet.

  1. following over from Small Blog Meet!

That's quite a list you have there, I'm trying to be very single minded about my quilting (I've not been doing it for long) and sticking to one project at a time. My tiny sewing room couldn't stand too much stuff spread around in it and I'd end up getting confused and loosing things!

Hope you get all you want to get done!

    1. Thanks for stopping by!

My list for this month is a little out of hand, but three of those projects are nearly done, and two or three of them I've yet to start and probably won't, but I can't bear to cut them from the list. (I get a little sentimental with my lists, haha.)

I have high hopes for October. :)

With all that free time not winding bobbins, you'll finish the list for sure.

    1. I know, right? And probably by the middle of the month, so I'll spend the rest of the month twiddling my thumbs. :P

  5. Wowsers, your list is even more ambitious than mine was last month! Loads of great projects there to inspire, I particularly love the Andrea Mini star- great pattern, is it a paper pieced block? It looks pretty complicated! Also blog hopping over from Lilys. Ange x
